Daniel Giles was initially employed at England & Associates as a Vocational Research Specialist while completing his MA degree program at the University of South Florida. He was promoted to the position of full-time Vocational Case Manager & Evaluator during his third year with the firm. He has been a member of the professional staff at England & Associates since 2007. Mr. Giles currently accepts referrals from the Division of Vocational Rehabilitation and provides Comprehensive Vocational Evaluation Services. He accepts referrals from the Bureau of Rehabilitation & Reemployment Services to provide Direct Placement Services. He has developed a case load of Social Security Disability recipients referred by the Social Security Administration through the Ticket to Work Program.
Daniel Giles obtained his designation as an Individual Qualified Rehabilitation Provider (QRP) from the Florida Department of Education / Division of Vocational Rehabilitation / Bureau of Rehabilitation & Reemployment Services. His designation as a QRP has qualified him to provide Vocational Testimony for Workers Compensation Carriers and Employers. He provides Reemployment Services on a weekly basis to Injured Workers to facilitate their return to work.
Daniel Giles has conducted comprehensive Initial Vocational Interviews, Vocational Testing and Forensic Case Evaluations. Mr. Giles has demonstrated skills in completion of Transferable Skills Analysis, Labor Market Survey Research, Vocational Testing and Claim Medical Records Review. He has prepared Medical Abstracts and Medical File Reviews. He has participated in the development of Life Care Plans with our Nurse Consultant and Forensic Evaluator. He has professional skills with critical analysis of depositions, Functional Capacity Evaluations (FCEs), Medical Reports and litigated case work documentation.
Mr. Giles obtained his Bachelor Degree in Psychology from the University of South Florida in 2005. He graduated Magna Cum Laude. He received his Masters of Arts in Rehabilitation and Mental Health Counseling from the University of South Florida in 2009. Mr. Giles has experience as a Mental Health Counselor in the addictions field. He was employed for five years as a Substance Abuse Counselor at First Step of Sarasota.
Mr. Giles has participated with England & Associates at industry conferences, including the Florida Workers Compensation Institute Workers’ Compensation Conferences in 2007, 2008, and 2009. He is a Professional Member of the Florida Chapter of IARP. He is an active volunteer with the South West District of IARP-Florida.
Daniel Giles enjoys his time away from the office pursing his interests as a musician, playing the acoustical guitar, electric guitar and drums. He often makes trips to Georgia with friends and family to enjoy tracking and hunting deer. His volunteer efforts include his Church’s fund raising, speaking to students at USF in Tampa and IARP-Florida professional seminars. Daniel Giles is a native Floridian who enjoys spending time at home with his dog and playing video games.
